Buying a Business

Buying a business takes courage. You’re embarking on an adventure that less than 10% of people are going to ever experience! Fortitude will go a long way but, buying a business is a complex process with as many details and pitfalls as there are opportunities.

Business BeyonDIY | Buying a Business removes the mystery from the buying process with a structured program; keeping the details under control with the flexibility to adapt to any business purchase.

50 percent of businesses make it past the first 5 years. Half of those make it to the 10-year mark.

If you’re still in business right now, you’re doing a lot of things right. You’re in exclusive company. You continue to face critical choices as a business owner, where you could prevail or fail—expanding, outsourcing, selling your business, acquiring another business—they’re each packed with the potential to make it rain or make it miserable.

Every day you show up, you’re besting the odds. How do you make sure you stay in the winner’s circle?

I’ve made it my business to help your business continue to make it, without breaking it. In 30 years of building, growing, and selling businesses, I’ve been there, done that, and seen it all. I’ve made every mistake in the book and lived to tell you how to avoid (or recover from) doing the same. I’ll help you keep beating the odds and having more fun while you’re at it.

You’ve already gotten beyond 50 percent. Now get beyond the daily grind. Get beyond the big decisions. Make it better. Make your Mark. And get back to enjoying your own company.

Make it.

Don't Break it.

What people are saying…

I worked with Stephen in a pro bono mentoring/coaching team environment (through SAGE Fort Collins). I found his client counsel to be timely, intelligent and focused. I strongly recommend taking advantage of his skills in business growth.

~David B.

“Stephen Krausse’s (Beyond 50 Percent) work has been the ideal guide with the struggles and hardships as I decided to take the entrepreneurial path. His compassionate, open-minded, and personable approach during his sessions has given me confidence throughout the process and yielded immediate benefits.

Since the very first meeting, I’ve received meaningful information and feedback that I could act upon right away—and during my work with Stephen, that stream of meaningful, useful information has remained constant.

In my personal experience, working with Stephen continues to see concrete, constant benefits: I have a better understanding of how to navigate complicated and unpleasant processes from a simpler dynamic and have different tools to resolve the challenges of our industry in less time.”

~Adriana P.

“Steve is wonderful to work with. He is very detail-oriented, well trained in many business aspects (financing, procurement, logistics, marketing), incredibly “street-smart”, and quickly hones-in on whatever is your business current bottleneck, providing sensible, actionable solutions. He, and four other advisors, helped me with my startup about 8 years ago. As I look back, what they did for me is ever-growing in its true dimension. Thank you Steve!”
